Mick Jagger begged her to quit smoking, but Joss Stone isn’t really listening to this advice. “2 weeks ago, I started smoking again” the singer confessed in front of the camera of Novum News. “But I’m gonna quit again”, she added quickly.
Earlier this year, the frontman of the Rolling Stones was really worried about Stone’s health. Jagger really gave his all to make Joss quit smoking. “He’s right, it’s so terribly bad”, the 23-year old singer confesses. “I hadn’t smoked for about 6 months, but I started again.” Six years ago, Stone and Jagger recorded a track together.
Stone did the voice of Bondgirl Nicole Hunter in the new James Bondgame ‘Blood Stone’. Joss loved acting for the computergame, but there’s one disadvantage too. Her brother, fanatic gamer, is now able to kill her. “He’s definitely gonna kill me” Stone forcasts. “Again and again and again. Off course he does, he’s my brother.”
Musically, Stone hasn’t been very active for some time. The blonde doesn’t have to miss the singing though. “I still sing every day. I don’t need an album to sing. I can do it everywhere. In the pub, in the kitchen, in the shower, in the supermarket or even right in the middle of a public square.”
Household tasks are taking a lot of Joss’ time. “I like baking muffins. For some reason, I’m really into that at the moment. Joss’ own words tell us that she just wants to ‘chill’ right now. “I’m just hanging around at home and I plant flowers.”

Soul star Joss Stone will star in a James Bond computer game.
A digital version of Stone will star as the femme fatale Nicole Hunter in James Bond 007: Blood Stone, the agent’s new video game.
Speaking at the game’s London launch, Stone said: ”I’m the first Bond girl from the West Country – instead of Martini in my glass I’m drinking cider and nobody will ever know.
And the singer pointed out: ”I’m the first Bond girl with a nose ring.”
The Brit Award-winning artist has also penned an original song for the game with Eurythmics star Dave Stewart – swapping her R&B sound for something more ”Shirley Bassey”, she said.
”Oh my God, Shirley Bassey rocks and nobody will ever get to there,” Stone said.
”She’s really powerful but there’s no ad-libbing or warbling because it wasn’t needed. I was just inspired by her and I tried to sing it in a really straight, powerful way.
”But I haven’t really got a big voice like Christina Aguilera or somebody, it’s trickery, I’m just loud and I can fake it a little bit.”
Stone said she played her Bond girl a ”bit like a posh version of Paris Hilton”.
The game is not her first acting role. She has previously played ”the ugliest woman in Europe” – Anne of Cleaves – in BBC2’s The Tudors, so a Bond girl was an ”ego boost”.
”I would love, love, love to be Bond’s girl in the next film,” she said.
”Obviously that would never happen, but I would love to do more acting, it’s basically dressing up and making pretend, it’s what little kids do, it’s a right laugh.”
She was disappointed she did not meet Daniel Craig – who stars as the voice of 007 in the new game, as he does on screen – as she finds him ”incredibly hot”.
James Bond 007: Blood Stone will be in shops this Christmas for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Windows PC.

At only 23 years old, British singer Joss Stone has already sold millions of albums, gained a ravenously loyal fan base and has even dabbled in acting. Now the talented lady is trying her hand at shoe design in a new collaboration with Nine West.
@WonderwallMSN: Hello Joss! Are you ready to be Twitterviewed?
@Joss Stone: I am ready!
@WonderwallMSN: Awesome. We hear you’re currently at a photo shoot. How’s it going?
@Joss Stone: It went very well, right now I’m going for tea
Lots of changing of clothes and shoes! Loved it.
@WonderwallMSN: Sounds like a blast…So you can now add shoe designer to your resume. Tell us about your collaboration with Nine West.
@Joss Stone: It was a laugh, drawing pictures and saying what I liked and didn’t like. Some very talented people put it all together!
@WonderwallMSN: What’s the inspiration behind your designs? We hear your tattoos may have had something to do with it.
@Joss Stone: Yes my tattoos inspired the line, I guess i can say there is a little part of me in each design.
@WonderwallMSN: We’re curious, which of your tattoos is your favorite and why?
@Joss Stone: Probably the most recent one, in my left hand. I like them all, but I love where this one is on my body
.
@WonderwallMSN: Your Nine West collection has a charity angle. Tell us about your partnership with Soles4Souls.
@Joss Stone: YES! They give shoes to young kids in Africa. They take your old shoes (which we all have) every bit will help! look them up!
@WonderwallMSN: How was this creative experience of designing different than putting together an album?
@Joss Stone: Well its creative, so it’s the same that way, much less pressure then making an album! But I love doing both though!
@WonderwallMSN: Speaking of music, what’s the latest? Your fans want to know who you’d like to duet with. Lady Gaga maybe?
@Joss Stone: Well I’m putting together some music now, so I will have something to hear very shortly. Lady Gaga would be fun!
@WonderwallMSN: Only 2 more questions! Just wondering … if you could have one celebrity follow you on Twitter who would it be and why?
@Joss Stone: Oh thats a hard one! I would have to say RuPaul..so funny! LOL!
@WonderwallMSN: Ha, good one! One last request, can you tweet us a picture of yourself right now?
@Joss Stone: Oh god! OK … let me find a snapshot from the shoot. I have to plug in my phone and figure this out! oh gosh! here’s one… sorry its blurry!

It was Joss Stone’s penchant for bare feet that led to a call from Nine West’s Creative Director Fred Allard.
“She was barefoot! So I called and asked if she needed some shoes,” he said in their New York showroom last night. “But seriously, I love music, and the idea of Vintage America is to link the brand to music, to give it texture.”
Joss agrees, “I see fashion as art and an expression of yourself and music is exactly the same thing.”
“There’s a soul and there’s a sole!” agreed Fred.
The British singer’s teamed up with the high street shoe brand to design a capsule collection for fall including the lace up bootie at left and a shearling thigh high boot in brown, shown after the jump.
But don’t expect to see Joss teetering around in them. “I’m crap in heels,” she told ELLE. “But I do love them. When I went to high school I used to wear really big heels, but then I got super tall and insecure about my height. When I was younger I shot up before everyone else! Which I guess is why I wore no shoes. But if you’re going to wear shoes they should be a sexy pair, otherwise don’t wear them at all.”
The winter boots may not scream sex appeal, but they’re already brainstorming a summer collection which Joss hopes will burst with color. “Fred was like, ‘Pipe down with your colors!’,” Joss said of the boots. “But we’ll get it in there for summer.”
Cute, huh? *-*
